Ecommerce Website Development in Chennai

THE PROBLEM

A bought theme is built for the average shop, which is nobody. A thousand other stores are running the same one, and the thing your business actually needs, your delivery zones, your pricing rules, your stock reality, is the thing the theme will not do. The fix is not a different theme. It is a storefront written for your catalogue, on commerce plumbing that is already solved.

PROCESS

How your project will run

The same four stages on every build, whatever we are building. You will know the scope, the price and the timeline before you commit to anything.

  1. 01

    Define

Scope, roles and flows written down and signed off, so there is one agreed version of what is being built before anyone opens an editor.

  2. 02

    Design

Screens approved before a line of code is written. Changing a drawing costs minutes; changing a built screen costs days.

  3. 03

    Develop

A working build every week, not a progress report. You click it, you tell us what is wrong, and it is still cheap to change.

  4. 04

    Deploy

Launch, handover and support. The source code and every account are in your name, with the documentation to go with them.

Every week, without being chased: a 15-minute check-in, a build you can click, and a status email your stakeholders can read. No last-minute surprises.

The stack behind it

Written for you and handed over to you, never a bought theme. Where a platform suits the job better, Shopify or WordPress included, we build on it and the account is yours along with everything we write on top.

FAQ

E-Commerce: the questions we get asked

Should I use Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom store?
Whichever suits your catalogue and the way you sell, and we will tell you which on the call. Shopify is often the sensible base because its checkout handles payments, tax and PCI compliance, and nobody should be rebuilding those. WooCommerce on WordPress suits a business already running WordPress well. A fully custom build earns its place when your business does something no platform will bend to. What stays the same whichever we pick: the storefront is designed and written for you, never a bought theme with your logo on it.
Can it handle my delivery areas and pricing rules?
That is normally the reason to build rather than buy a theme. Delivery zones by pincode, different rates by weight or distance, minimum orders per area, wholesale prices for some customers: these are the rules an off-the-shelf storefront will not bend to, and they are the ones your business actually runs on.
How much does a website cost in Chennai?
There is no single figure, because a five-page brochure site and a site with a cost estimator, logins and payments are different pieces of work. What drives the number is how many distinct screens there are, how many kinds of user it serves, whether it needs to connect to anything you already run, and how much of the content and photography exists already. We quote once, in writing, after a short call, and that figure does not move unless you change the scope.
How long does it take to build a website?
A straightforward business site is usually a few weeks; something with accounts, payments or custom logic runs longer. The honest answer is that the build is rarely what sets the date. Waiting on content, photography and approvals is, which is why the scope is signed off before anyone opens an editor and why you get a working build to click every week.
Do I own the code and the accounts?
Yes, both. On final payment the source code is yours, every account is created in your name, and you get a handover pack: architecture diagram, functional flow, API documentation, component list and security notes. Any developer can pick the project up later without starting over. You are not locked to us by anything except whether you want to keep working with us.
Who will actually be working on my project?
Senior engineers, not juniors learning on your project. Our engineers came from enterprise product teams inside large multinational companies, on software used by over a million people worldwide, and that is the standard your project is held to. The person you brief is the person who writes the code, with no account manager relaying messages in between. You are always told who is working on your project.
Do you work with businesses outside Chennai?
Yes. Most of our work is with Chennai and Tamil Nadu businesses, particularly construction, interiors and retail, and we also work remotely with clients elsewhere in India and in the US and UK, in English. The weekly check-in and the clickable build matter more than being in the same city, and they work the same either way.
What happens after the site launches?
We ship it, hand over the documentation, and stay reachable. There is no compulsory monthly retainer and no licence that expires. If you want ongoing changes we agree that separately; if you want to take it to another developer, the handover pack exists so you can.
